Allsteel provides needed resources for your LEED project. We have LEED experts on staff, completed LEED projects at Allsteel properties, and regularly supply office furniture to LEED projects around the world. We’re glad to be of service for any “green” project, even if LEED certification is not in the plan.

EQ 4.5: Low Emitting Furniture

Allsteel office furniture meets the emissions requirements of LEED Interior Design + Construction (formerly called LEED for Commercial Interiors) EQ 4.5 using Option 3, the BIFMA method. In Canada, this option was accepted by the Canada Green Building Council in 2007 as Option C. Most of our furniture also meets California’s 01350 standard. Our certificates are accepted as proof and are identified by product and manufacturing period.

Materials and Resources Credits 4 and 7

Office furniture products are constructed of a variety of materials, each having unique qualities. Today’s users of office furniture have come to expect fact-based technical information presented in a way that is both concise and comprehensive. Environmental Data Sheets (EDS) provide basic responses to the most frequently asked questions about Allsteel’s products, recycled content, environmental performance, and commitment.

Allsteel is FSC Chain of Custody certified to provide FSC-certified furniture as "FSC Mixed Credit".
